The Board of Trustees formed the PTA in year 2005, in order to get the support of the parents to raise funds to upgrade the school facilities for the benefit of the students studying at the Sri Lankan School. The PTA raises funds and hold sponsored events throughout the academic year in coordination with the School Management.
The Office Bearers of the PTA are elected annually in accordance with the PTA Constitution and Parents of Students automatically become members of the Parents Teachers Association.
The functions of the PTA are limited to assisting the development of the school only and have no authority to act on behalf of the parents to bring up students or academic issues with the School Management. Such issues shall be dealt individually between the parents and the school. The Board has the authority to dissolve the PTA. |
